Savoring Life

We all know that the father or our creator will take us one of these days. We never know when it will be. Some even before they get to live.

Why all these thoughts about life and death? For the past month, I've been hearing of family and friends who either passed away, unconsious or had seizures. Thus, it reminds me again on how we should all make the most out of this God given life. To make our being born into this world a reality. Vague? Well, there are just some people who allows fate to handle everything living each day and waiting for things to just happen. For me, it is making sure that you did something to make your presence be felt for any moment in time. We do our best and God will do the rest. I am always reminded by Fr. Johnny's homily where he said that perhap the closest to the end of the world is the 9/11 attack, but most of them spent the last minutes of their lives calling their loved ones while some were caught cheating on their wives when it happened. And so instead of speculating when our lives will end, we should just think of what we want to be caught doing anytime the father takes us. To be able to face our creator with our chin up saying that we made something worthwhile with the life given to us. And we are only able to be productive when we also take good care of ourselves. To all those working, hopefully, we let money work for us and not work for money. Hopefully all that we've worked hard for will not just go to paying for medical bills but instead in enjoying life :)I have noticed that I am usually unafraid of death and I only do when I know I am in conflict with some loved ones or have sinned. I guess the lesson learned is that we should always try to live in harmony and avoid sin :P As i reach my quarter life, I have identified some of the most important things in life : Family, God, selected friends (it is not in the quantity) ,living in order for others to live too and learning to love oneself before you can really give.

To end this blog, I would like everyone reading this now to please say a prayer for Auntie Ramona Hwan who is still unconsious, my grandmother Lua Kiong who is in the ICU and my thanks for the recovery of Shanelle Tan whom I'm very happy to hear from and is now active again :)
