Birthday Bash!
Last Friday night was a BLAST :) I had students over at the house for a simple birthday celebration. Of course, my birthday wouldn't be complete without celebrating it with the people whose been part of what has been by far the best year of my life :) It was a great reunion! They sang different songs with the Magic sing mic! haha! It was fun and of course chatting and catching up with them :) Even before the party, I knew I'd be happy that night:) Shucks, so you guys now know how you make me happy. Patay! So anyway, what struck me that evening? Well, seeing these students enthusiastically celebrate birthday with a teacher makes me truly feel that I did something RIGHT in my life. Although, honestly, I still don't know what I have done right to deserve all their love :) As a birthday present, zia and sab go compiled as much notes/letters as they could from former students. Nakakataba tlga ng puso. The effort that they did for that as well as every student's effort given to write me a simple note. Simply humbling. I just had to acknowledge that they will not care to waste a few minutes of their time to write a note if I somehow did not have a positive impact and connection :) That day , I also got a gift from Sharky, together with what I told her to be a portfolio entry project! haha! It was a well decorated letter and attached was her character sketch of me that was submitted for English class which I'll have to say really moved me. Another student who gave a projects (self-made) as a gift were Trishia Simeon and Abi Tang. Thank you sooo much for the LABOR OF LOVE ?:) I hope someday I'll know what in particular I have done right to deserve all those :)It was a surprise to get notes from some of the students whom I thought were negative about me. hehe. I guess one particular reason why I am very much moved is because I just simply could not have done something like that to my teachers before! Talking to them like my peers /kabarkada. or thinking of going out of my way to compile letters for them. Or it be a strange idea to go to their house! haha! Okay, stop na. I'm not flattering myself ha. Perhaps time has also changed too :) I cannot expect that how we were as students goes the same for these bunch :) That night I was really myself and comfortable around those students singing their hearts out! haha! Well, I really hope they enjoyed the night too :) They must have seen some new sides of Ms. Go. haha!
I miss the XYGENZ batch. God Bless sa INTRAMS!!!! I'll be there to cheer for you like a proud stage mother :):):) Just do your best and God will do the rest :)

Students can be so amazing in their capacity for love, and their ability to make you realize your own capacity for love. :)
