Distorted Sense of Priorities

STOP! is what i want to scream everytime i see people participate in SHOWBIZ gimmiks where you have to text your opinions! Like magkakatuluyan ba si ganito at si ganyan? hulaan niyo! text na! To me, it's a total waste of money...off hand, if i were to rank the priorities of Filipinos, it would be 1.)barkada/porma/toma/yosi 2.) sabong/sugal 3.) pangkain 4.) Pamilya at edukasyon... Saya at ligaya ang una...makikita mo may cellphone pero walang pang matrikula. Mapapakain ba kayo ng mga kaibigan na "cool" at ating sinasabayan? Nakasunod nga sa uso, gutom naman...one second of papogi and paporma, one week of hunger...There's nothing wrong to enjoy, but maybe let's work hard first, then party. People has depended their lives to fate and instant cash by joining such gimmiks or gambling always hoping that it'll be their lucky day.If you add up all the time wasted and money spent for all these things, it could already have bought them a good healthy meal at least...or a simple book that their children can read even while out of school....Instead of sitting around, bug your local officials to help you, MAKE them WORK!Let them know that you are INTERESTED to improve your lives.People have become dependent on dole outs...while doing a rummage sale a few years back, one of the manongs said : Dapat binibigay niyo na lang sa amin to eh...." Poverty has become a handy excuse! Yes, life is hard, and we make it harder by creating our own problems...porblems like effects of vices,nsaving for unecessary things, gambling,going to beerhouses, etc.
