Ang ISA kong BOTO

Kung ako ay may kaisa isang boto, ito ay mapupunta kay MAYOR SABAS "ABANG" MABULO - A congressional candidate for 1st district Camarines Sur. I am a silent fan of Mayor Abang. I know he will not remember me as I only got the chance to have a short chat with him when we both happen to be in the CLCP (Christian Life Community of the Philippines)office. Mapalad akong nakadaupang palad ang isang simpleng simpleng MAYOR. Walang body guard o kasama. Alam ko na siya ang CLC member na Mayor dahil narin sa tulong ng kanyang komunidad sa pagdedisyon through the process of discernment...ibig sabihin choosing between two good things and seeing where God's will is. The discernment resulted to the decision of running for Mayor. That was all that I knew of him - the CLC Mayor. After a few years, I got to watch a video documentary of CLCers spreading the ignatian fire, and one of those featured was Mayor Abang. What struck me was how he was able to build a road with very little funds. The road was built to facilitate transporting of goods and within the region. His charism was such that it became a bayanihan project. The road was built through the help of many bare hands by the community members themselves. Mayor Abang is to me a symbol of unity. I also got the chance of meeting his daughter when they were participants to the CLC Youth Assembly that we ran last year. Kung anong puno siyang bunga. His daughter were also very simple, participative and respectful. She is a living trace of Kuya Abang. And so, when I heard that he was running for Congress, I just felt the strong desire in me to help him in my own ways.I am in the midst of so many things at work at the moment, but I have found myself truly taking time to make and send text messages and emails to spread the word about him. Internally, I feel very much compelled to help. Talagang nakakahawa ang malaking puso ni Kuya Abang. He has become my spark of hope even to just begin with Camarines Sur. Malaki at magandang simula na. I have found myself thinking of ways and means on how to help him before I go to bed. My desire grow not just out of support for Kuya Abang but perhaps of my high hopes for my home country. My heartfelt prayers for Kuya Abang's victory. May God keep him safe from any evil.

Note: i have chosen to write in taglish to keep the authenticity of my thoughts.
