Ageing and Happy!
The joke for all ages is to tease each other about ageing. We are fond of making comments about being old or tease about each other's age. Although as a young adult, I do feel the changes as one grows older each year, I realize that I am actually not sad about it. Rather, there is a feeling of pride for I can somehow say that my years were well spent and it is up to me on how I want to grow old but happy. Happy reminiscing the golden years :) Being part of the pilot group when ICA-YCLC started for example, which is celebrating it's 10th year, yes it a clear sign that i've aged, but it is also a clear proof of how much our efforts then have multiplied. How ICA-YCLC has grown and developed so much over the years. And this goes for all the other things that I have done over the years. The same pride for parents to see their children grow, or teachers to see their former students follow their footsteps. Or for businessmen to realize how a building has risen on a land that they they once eyed for. The sweet victory that comes with ageing :) To me, the old people are the most wise of all. They have the wisdom to serve as guiding light for the young. For they carry with them years of experience and success. While I do miss being young once in a while, i wouldn't exchange achievements for it. Achievements all done for God's glory:)
P.S. ICA-YCLC will be culminating year long 10th year anniversary celebration on January 14, 2006! All former ica-yclcers,guides and moderators are welcome! It will be an afternoon affair. Please text/email me inquiries and updates for the exact details of the event. (Wynne101@yahoo.com/+639175238461)
