The Filipino Smile

While in another country, I've come to conclude how unique and infectious kind of cheerful smile Filipinos possess. Filipinos has a certain glow that is very warm and catches the attention of others. It is probably amusing or a mystery to some how we manage to be happy and still smile despite the economic situation that we are in. Our ability to laugh at problems. I myself realized this when my friend Dang and I were in France...while just simply chatting, a French couple approached us...at first we couldn't understand what the lady was trying to say, but she was making the hand gesture of rounding her hands upon her face...then her husband found the right english words to explain that they were startled by the very nice smile that we were had on our faces. haha! I was reminded of this when we were watching a Filipino band playing in Shanghai (Uncle Jackson sends them from Manila). I felt really proud that Filipinos were entertaining foreigners. How they are able to infect them with the energy and let out their stress! The lead singer had back up dancers that were Chinese...and Tita noticed the difference between Chinese and Filipino entertainers. How the Chinese were not smiling much and not enticing enough. I believe that Filipinos does a have a natural knack for service and warm hearted personality that can truly be easily felt by others. One Israel official that I got to chat with a bit during a trip said that He often thinks that Filipinos are sought of as caretakers abroad not just because they are cheap labour but perhaps it is something really natural of them also that is why they do the job really well :) That is the Filipino hospitality:) The kind that touches across different races:)
